Pearler
During my time at Pearler, I worked across platform on over 9 features from small redesigns to navigation, notifications and footers to large, high visibility redesigns of the dashboard, money management, goal setup and more.
The PROBLEM
Pearler is on a mission to make long-term investing accessible and not intimidating, empowering everyday Australians to build wealth with confidence.
However, much of the product was originally developed without a user-first lens — resulting in fragmented, inconsistent, and often overwhelming experiences that contradicted this mission. A wave of critical user feedback highlighted how the existing UI/UX created confusion and friction, especially for new investors. Addressing this wasn’t just a design improvement — it was essential to rebuilding trust and aligning the product with Pearler’s core values.
My work directly contributed to this transformation, helping reshape the product into a simpler, more intuitive and brand-aligned experience. These improvements were critical to user satisfaction and retention, supported Pearler through a successful A$7.8M seed round and continued VC investment, and enabled the company to confidently scale into new product areas such as home buying and superannuation.
